A few years ago, to create a blog you needed to know how to program or pay a professional. 

Today it is no longer necessary. There are platforms that allow you to build a web page as if it were a PowerPoint: simply dragging elements and writing text.

Whether you want to create a blog that you can turn into a digital business or if you want to build something more amateur, in this guide you will find everything you need to do it in a simple and practical way. 

You will see how easy it is!

What types of the blog are there?

You should know that there are two types of the platform where you can create your blog, and the choice between one and the other should depend on your goal with it.

The first is free and allows you to open a blog quickly, although it will have a less professional appearance. 

The second is paid and it will take longer to personalize it, but in return, you will access a professional result with the possibility of earning money with your blog.

Let’s see what each one offers and what type of user it is for:

Free Blogs

The free platforms are designed for hobby bloggers who simply want a place on the Internet to write for themselves or their friends and family.


They are free because they host your website on their own server infrastructure. But since these servers have a fixed capacity, they greatly limit the functions of your blog.

The most popular ones are WordPress.comBlogger, and Wix. Creating a blog on one of these platforms is as simple as opening an account, choosing the name of your blog, and writing articles.


You will recognize most free blogs because the name of the platform includes their web address, such as personal blog. or tublogpersonal. .

This, as a general rule, usually takes away credibility from the blog. In fact, most of the blogs you follow probably don’t include it, and their web address is simply the name of the blog.

Note: On these platforms, there is the possibility of removing their name from your address, but you will have to pay between 15 and 20 dollars a year to be able to do it and it will continue to be hosted on their server, so you do not have the issue of limitations.

I started creating a free blog on myself, but after only four months I switched to the paid option because of how limited I felt.

The reason is that these free platforms offer very little freedom to configure the blog and the necessary functions to receive more visits and generate money. 

At the time what I wrote began to interest more people and I had my first readers, it quickly fell short.


  • These platforms are completely free: you do not need to hire a hosting (server) or pay for the name of your domain.
  • The setup is pretty straightforward.


  • They can delete your blog if you break any policy or if they close their service.
  • They give an amateur image by including the name of the platform in the web address.
  • You will only have the basic functions to write and add images.
  • You will not be able to use services to send personalized emails to your subscribers, for example.
  • Search engines like Google do not usually position this type of blog well.
  • Some will force you to show ads on your blog without being able to earn money from them.

Although I do not recommend free platforms even to start (probably later you will have to go to the paid format and it is a nuisance), at the end of this article you will find two tutorials to create a free blog.

Paid blogs

In this modality, you do not use the free or Blogger servers, but you purchase hosting services from a company to give you a space on their servers.

There are many specialized hosting companies . Since you will be paying them, they offer you much more freedom than with free servers.

The prices of a hosting usually range between 3 and 10 dollars per month, although it is common for them to make offers during the first 12 months to attract customers.

Although you may be tempted, I also do not recommend that you use the cheapest hostings you find. For two reasons:

  • They tend to give poor technical service or take a long time to respond if you have any problem
  • Your blog will load slowly, and nobody likes having to wait to see a page

I started using Hostgator for all my blogs, a popular hosting for being very cheap, and unfortunately, I regretted it.

During the Christmas campaign, one of my blogs where I earn money recommending affiliate products began to receive many visits. 

Suddenly and without warning, Hostgator suspended my account, leaving my website inactive because I was receiving too much traffic and consuming a lot of resources on its server.

When I realized I wrote to them to move me to a higher (and more expensive) plan. But it took almost 3 days to answer me, in which I stopped earning 750 dollars with the sales of my blog.

If you want to avoid this type of problem, don’t go for the cheapest. Most serious companies notify you when there is a problem and propose solutions, but Hostgator opted for the fast track by closing my hosting .

Currently, the best hosting in relation to quality/price that I have tried and where I have hosted most of my blogs (including this one) is Bluehost. Its advantages can be summarized in four:

  • They have a lot of tutorials to help you in whatever it takes
  • Their customer service is the best I have seen: they respond to you in minutes and usually solve the problem
  • Their servers are very fast and your website will load sooner
  • They offer you free security certificates

Their basic plan will cost you 8 dollars a month and is more than enough to start.

In addition to hosting, you must also pay for the domain of your blog in a company that registers it. It usually costs between 8 and 20 dollars a year , but in this way you make sure that it is 100% yours.

To register your domain, I recommend Namecheap. They are cheap and their system is very, very easy to use.

Actually, you only pay for hosting and domain. The system that will allow you to manage your blog is still free, so maintaining it will cost you between 70 and 140 dollars a year. But trust me: it is the best investment I have ever made.


  • You will be the owner of an ICANN accredited domain.
  • You will have access to a huge inventory of plugins (additional functionalities) for your blog.
  • It will improve the visibility and positioning of your blog.
  • It will help you build authority and credibility.
  • You will have all the options to earn money with your blog.


  • You will have to pay an annual fee for the domain and the hosting.

Of all the platforms that allow you to manage a blog, the most popular is WordPress

Be careful not to confuse it with free blogs on! They use the same system, but in the first case, you have the freedom to install it on the server you want.

There are other web management platforms such as Joomla, Drupal or Blogger. However:

  • Joomla is not specifically intended for blogging
  • Drupal is designed for large-scale websites
  • Blogger can’t compete with WordPress functionalities

Although they all have their pros and cons, WordPress is still the best option.

My final recommendation? 

Buy your domain, purchase a cheap but reliable hosting like Bluehost, and install WordPress there to create your blog.

These are the steps you need to create a blog:

1. Decide the niche of your blog

Although it seems that it has nothing to do with the process of creating a blog, in reality, this is the most important stage.

While the rest of the steps are purely technical and very simple (as you will see below), the niche of your blog is what will determine its potential and your ability to earn money from it in the medium and long term.

If you choose an interesting topic, but that does not solve any problem of your readers, such as politics or curiosities, you can monetize it with advertising but you will limit yourself in terms of the biggest source of income of any blog: online courses or exclusive areas for subscribers .

For example, my blogging blog offers blogging tutorials and guides for the people who want to do blogging and earn money from it. 

Don’t let choosing a niche paralyze you either. Just choose one that you are good at and where there are people willing to pay to solve a problem, and start your blog.

Until you start having readers (some months will pass) and as you work on your blog you will realize what really interests your audience. 

Then you can finish adjusting your niche and positioning.

2. Register your domain

Once you have decided the niche of your blog, it is time to choose a name for your domain and register it.

The domain name is the web address that people must type in their browser to go to your blog. 

Try to choose a short and memorable domain name that defines well the niche of your blog. 

There are those who prefer that their domain be their own name, such as, but it is a matter of preference.

Once you decide on the name, before buying it you should check that it is available and that no one owns it.

To do this, go to Namecheap and enter your domain in the search engine.


The most common is to choose the .com extension, but if it is not available, other good options are .org, .net, or .us (if you are from the USA).

In this case, the domain we have searched for is available, so we can buy it.

We click on the cart symbol and then select View Cart .

Next you must choose if you want to buy the domain for 1, 2 or more years. 

My recommendation is that you buy it for a year and check the automatic renewal box to avoid any risk of losing it because you may forget to renew it.

You can also select the privacy of your data (WhoisGuard). 

This means that no one will be able to see the name of who has registered that domain if they consult it in the Whois database.

Namecheap offers the first year of privacy for free but then it has an additional cost of between 5 and 10 dollars a year. 

As we do not need to hide our data (unless you have reasons to do so), uncheck the option and click on Confirm Order.

In the next step it will ask you to create a Namecheap account if you don’t have one. You must enter your name, address, contact number and email.

Then you must enter the domain owner, administrative and technical contact, and billing information. 

If in all cases it is you, simply select the User default account contact option and click Continue.

Now you have to enter your payment information, either by card or Paypal. Accept the terms and agreements and proceed to payment.

Then the confirmation screen will appear. And that’s it! 

You are already the owner of a domain.

But you have one last step: go to the email account you used when registering and click on the confirmation email that will have arrived.

In that email, you will find a link that you must click to verify that your email account is correct. Don’t forget or your domain will be deactivated in 2 weeks!

3. Buy a hosting

The next step is to buy the server where you will host your blog. I recommend you Bluehost Choice Plus the of the Hosting High-Performance WordPress for its value but are free to choose any other.

Why I am recommending you Bluehost is because it is officially recommended by WordPress.

If you decide on the hosting plan, remember that you will get a 55% discount for the first year.

This Bluehost plan costs 5 dollars a month, the same as the Standard WordPress Hosting but it allows you to install unlimited blogs, in case you want to start any more in the future.

Click on Get Plan and on the next screen select I already have a domain. 

Write in the box the name of the domain that you have registered in Namecheap. Then click on Proceed.

On the next screen, you must enter your information to create an account and select the payment method. Once done you will have an active hosting 🙂

Now check your email because an email will arrive with the access data to your hosting.

Here are two important things: the names of your server (DNS) and your access data to cPanel (it is the web page from where you will install WordPress). 

Let’s see what to do with each one.

4. Redirect DNS/Update Nameservers

In this step, you must make the domain that you have registered before pointing to the server that you have just purchased, which is where you will host all the files (texts, images, etc.) of your blog.

It is very simple. First, copy the DNS (server names) that you have received in your email.

Now, of your nameservers and go the Namecheap account.

Log in to your account and click on Domain List in the left sidebar. There you will find the domain that you have registered before. Select Manage.

On the next screen, go down to the Nameservers option , and in the drop-down select Custom DNS .

This is where you must update the name server that Bluehost has sent you. 

Once you have done so, click on the green tick to save them.

You already have your domain pointing to your server! You will surely see a notice that this change can take up to 48 hours to be effective, but do not worry because it usually takes less than 30 minutes.

5. Install WordPress

Now, its time to install WordPress on your blog.

Just click on the link and enter the username and password (there is an option to change it if you want).

Once inside the cPanel, you just have to select the Create WordPress option (or you may find it as Install WordPress ).

Note: if you have purchased another hosting, that option may be at the bottom of the cPanel, in the Softaculous or Applications section.

The next step that will ask you is to write the name of your blog, and that you select in which domain you want to install WordPress.

Click on the dropdown and choose the domain name that you have registered before. 

Leave the Installation path box empty, write an email and username to access the WordPress of your blog, and choose a random password or write it yourself.

You will receive an email with the information to access the WordPress of your blog.

But wait! Before there is a step that is important that you complete because it can give you many advantages.

6. Secure your blog (Mandatory)

I do not know if you have noticed that, depending on the website you visit, the symbol of a padlock appears next to “It is safe” in the bar of your browser , whereas on other pages it does not.

These websites use a security certificate (called SSL) that adds an s to the end of the http of your web address. It is a way to reinforce the security and privacy of our data while browsing.

Soon, websites that do not have this certificate will be marked as “Not Secure ” in web browsers, and that can scare many users. 

In addition, Google plans to prioritize secure websites in its results, so it is highly recommended that yours be.

There are paid and free security certificates, depending on the hosting you have contracted. Also, installation can be tricky if no one helps you.

Fortunately, Bluehost offers you a free SSL certificate and the process to install it is automatic. 

This is another of the reasons why they are my favorite hosting.

Then click on the hosting where you want to install your certificate. When you see the two types of certificates available, Let’s Encrypt and Comodo , click Enable AutoSSL next to Let’s Encrypt .

Once enabled, below it will ask you in which domain you want to activate the certificate. 

Select yours, check both boxes to accept that your WordPress is https (secure) instead of Http and click on the button.

A list full of files will appear, but that means you already have your certificate activated!

7. Choose a lightweight theme

Cool! Now you can go to the WordPress of your blog to configure it to your liking. You must have received a new email from Bluehost with your login details.

Normally, the address to access the WordPress dashboard of your blog is yoursite.comwp-admin.

Important if you get an error or tell you that the connection is not private, don’t worry. 

It happens because your security certificate has not yet been installed. Give it 15 more minutes and try again.

Enter your username and password on the WordPress login screen, and you will be on the dashboard of your blog!

This screen is the WordPress dashboard, the place where you manage all the content and settings of your blog.

In the left sidebar, you have all the WordPress options. First, we are going to configure the appearance of the blog with a theme.

In Appearance -> Themes you will find all the pre-installed themes for you to activate the one you like the most.

There you can also select Add new, which will allow you to search among a lot of new free themes.

Free templates are usually quite limited or stop updating over time, so my recommendation is to use a paid one. 

They are more reliable, have more options, and usually cost you under 50 dollars. In my opinion, Genesis is the best for its ease of use and simplicity of code – that’s why I use it on all my websites, including this one.

Genesis works with a parent theme (template) and another child theme.

The parent theme is Genesis Framework, which would be the skeleton of the blog, while the child theme gives it a more personalized look and there are dozens to choose from.

To use a Genesis child theme like Eleven 40, which is one of my favorites, you must have the parent theme installed.

8. Customize your blog

It’s time to finish adjusting the rest of the blog’s design options. To enter the blog customization screen select Appearance -> Customize.

In the left bar you have all the options, while on the right you will see how your blog is depending on the changes you make.

The first thing is to change the title if the one you want is not yet there. Select Site Identity , and type the name of your blog. Also write in 6 or 7 words a description for your blog.

In Header Image, you can change the text title of your blog for an image with the logo. If you want a decent logo for less than 10 dollars, I recommend Fiverr.

The Widgets are sections of your blog that you can configure to your liking with several features like a Twitter feed, icons on your social networks or a description of the author.

In Cover Settings, you can select if you want the home page of your blog to have the latest articles, or only show a specific page.

In Theme settings you will find the Site design option , which is important. Here you can choose if you want your content to be displayed on the left and a sidebar on the right, which also includes a bar on the left or to display it without any bar, for example.

In Comments and References you can select if you want people to be able to leave a comment on your articles and pages.

When you have everything to your liking, just click Publish .

The next step is to go back to the WordPress dashboard and adjust a couple of important options to make your blog work as it should.

First go to Settings ->  Reading . There, you may find that the “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” box is checked. 

If so, uncheck it and save the changes, or else search engines like Google will never show your blog.

Then, go to Settings ->  Links, check the post name box and save the changes. 

This way, the web address of the articles you write will include the article name instead of a random number.

You’re almost there! Now you only have to install a few more important functions.

10. Install plugins

The plugins are small programs that are installed on your blog and give it additional possibilities such as the function of creating contact forms, calendars, or filters anti-spam.

On your WordPress desktop, go to Plugins. Most of the ones you will find by default can be deleted because for now, you will only need five:

  • Akismet: avoid spam in your blog comments
  • Contact Form 7: allows you to create contact forms
  • Yoast SEO: gives you more positioning options
  • BackWPup: to make automatic backups of your blog
  • Jetpack (optional): offer several useful options to your blog

To install each of these plugins, click  Add new that you will find at the top and enter their name in the search box.

Click Install Now , and then turn it on.

To activate Akismet you must obtain your API key by creating an account at Once you have done that, Akismet’s plans will appear.

Select the Personal Plan, and then it will ask you how much you want to pay per year. Since we are not yet millionaires, move the bar to the left up to zero dollars, and this will be free.

Once the subscription is created, it will ask you to activate your domain. Do it and it will provide you with the API key to protect your blog from spam.

BackWPup is used to create backup copies of your blog automatically in a Dropbox account. Once activated, you will see the BackWPup option appear in the left bar of your WordPress desktop.

How to create a free blog in Blogger step by step

Let’s look at the option of a free blog on Blogger. 

Discard it if you want to have the possibility of creating a serious medium-term project, but if you are only looking for space where you can write for yourself on the Internet then it is a suitable choice.

1. Create your blogger account

First of all, go to and click on Create your blog .


It will ask you to log in to your Gmail account. If you don’t have one, create one. You only have to enter your data and agree to accept the terms of service and Google’s security policy.

Then it will ask you if you want to create a Google + profile or create a blogger-only profile. 

The first one will show your posts with the name of your Gmail account and allow readers to send you messages.

If you prefer to be completely anonymous and create an alias just for the blog, choose the second option.

If you choose to create a Google + profile, you must confirm your name and surname. You can also upload a photo if you want.

Save your profile and on the next screen click Continue in Blogger to bring up the option to create a blog.

2. Create your blog

In Pages you can create and publish pages on your blog. Unlike the Posts , the Pages do not indicate the date on which they were created or appear within the list of Blog Posts , so they are usually used to put the Contact or About me sections , for example.

In Design you can finish adjusting the visual settings of your blog. 

You will see an outline of a blog entry, with several spaces where you can activate or deactivate  Widgets to display the title of your blog, an email subscription form, a search box, or other features.

In Theme, you can choose a design template for your blog among more than 30 options.

In Settings you will find several options that you should modify:

Let’s start with the basics section :

  • The first is the Description of your blog. This is what will appear behind the title of your blog when search engines like Google show your blog, so it describes very briefly (in about 5 words) the theme of your blog.
  • Where it says Redirect to HTTPS , make sure to select Yes so that your blog always shows up as safe, regardless of how your readers found it.
  • In Posts, comments and shared elements you can choose whether everyone can comment or only registered users.

I recommend that you select Any and the Always option in Comment Moderation.

This way you can review the comments before they appear since sometimes spam or some unsuitable ones can sneak in.

  • The Email and Language and format options are quite basic, just check that your email and language are correct.
  • In Search Engine Preferences, enable the description for searches.
  • This is the text that will appear below your blog title when search engines display it, so be sure to put one or two phrases that motivate people to click.

Here you can also customize the message that will appear when someone reaches a page not found if you think necessary.

  • In the Other option you can make backup copies of your blog. The rest of the options are not relevant for now.
  • Finally, in User Settings you can choose to continue posting under your Google + profile or create a unique profile for this blog.

4. Write your first post

We will publish your first post. Just go to Posts and click New post .

Now the text editor will open where you can put a title to your first post, write the content, and add images or videos.

In the upper bar you can choose the font, text size, insert images, add links or create lists, among other options.

On the right you will find a vertical bar with the input settings:

  • In Tags, you can assign a category to your posts. For example, you could put the label “Economy” to all who talk about economics, and “Health” to those who talk about health. This makes it easy for readers to access all your content on a specific topic.
  • In Schedule, you can select that the entry is automatically published at the time you decide.
  • In the Permanent link, you can edit the web address (URL) of your post, instead of using the one that Blogger will assign you by default, which is the title. Do it if it is too long and you want to simplify it.
  • The Location option is used to geolocate your content, but it should not be used unless it is the blog of a local business.
  • In Search description you can put the text you want to be shown in the search engines under the title of your entry. Remember that it must be attractive and not too long!
  • Finally, in Comments you can decide if you allow readers to comment on this article or not. Do not change the other options.

5. Post your article

Once you have written your post, you can save it as a draft with the Save and preview option. If everything seems fine to you, publish it by clicking the Publish option . Done!

How to create a free blog on step by step

As an alternative to Blogger, you can also host your blog for free on servers. 

However, you will have to pay to enjoy the most advanced functions or your own domain, so in the medium term, it will be more profitable to buy hosting.

1. Open an account at

To continue in the free mode, click Start with Free at the bottom of the screen.

In the next step, you must enter an email address, a username that is available and your password to create your user profile, or log in with your Gmail account.

You will arrive at your dashboard, where you will see a draft post. 

Before you start writing, remember to confirm your account by clicking on the verification link that you will have received in your email. Otherwise, you will not be able to post tickets!

2. Set up your blog

It is important that you first spend a couple of minutes setting up your blog. 

To do this, click on “My site” in the upper left and the sidebar with all the options will appear.

The first option is Statistics, where you can see the visits to your website both by post and by the origin of the traffic.

In the Plan option you can subscribe to one of the WordPress payment plans. 

In this way, you can remove the domain from your address and disable the ads that appear by default on your blog. You’ll also have more storage and some additional features.

In Site Pages, you have the pages of your blog, which are basically like posts that do not appear in your blog post list. 

They are usually used to put the Contact and About sections .

If you want to modify the pages that appear, simply click on the three points that you will find next to each one. To write a new one, select  Add next to Site Pages from the left sidebar.

The next option in the sidebar is Blog Posts . Here you will find a list of your published entries, which you can also edit, share or delete by clicking on the icon with the 3 dots.

You can write an posts at any time with the Write button  at the top right, or by selecting Add next to Blog entries in the left bar.

In the Media section, you can upload photos and videos to use in your posts and pages, although you can also do it directly from the text editor when you are writing one.

In Comments, you will see the messages that your readers leave on the blog, and from there you can approve and reply to them.

In the Themes section, you can change the design of your blog with a template. You will find a wide catalog with free or paid templates, and you can filter them by functions, style, and theme in the top menu.

In the Share section, you can connect your blog with your social networks so that your new posts are automatically shared. If you want to give them more visibility, it is important that you do so.

In People, you can invite people to receive your new posts by email by assigning them the role of Follower or to collaborate writing on your blog with the role of Author.

In the Plugins option, you will find several extra features that you can add to your blog, such as creating contact forms, putting spam filters, adding an online store or improving your search engine rankings.

Note: However, in order to install any plugin you will need a paid Business plan (it costs 25 dollars per month). For that price, it is preferable to buy hosting.

In Domains, you can pay to remove from your web address with the Premium plan. Basket 8 dollars a month, so again, it is more profitable to hire a hosting .

In the Settings section you will find several options that it is important that you modify:

  • In General , you can change the name of your blog and write a description that will be added after its title. Make it short, 3-5 words, and then click Save Settings .

Also, make sure that Privacy is set to Public, otherwise, search engines like Google will never show your blog.

  • In the Script, you can create categories and labels to organize your posts. The rest of the options are fine by default.
  • In Comments, you can choose to review the first comment of your readers before deciding if it is displayed or not. You can also decide if you want to receive an email every time there is a new comment. In general, the options that come by default are already correct.
  • In Traffic  you can decide to show related articles at the end of your posts. In this way, your readers will be able to see more entries that you have written if they are related to the one they are reading.

You will also find the Site Verification Services , although these functions are usually for more advanced users.

3. Customize the design

Next to the Themes option in the left sidebar, you will see a button with the text Personalize. This option will allow you to finish adjusting the blog design to your liking.

You will then access a screen where on the right you will see the home page of your blog and on the left a bar with options like this:

In Site Identity, in addition to being able to change the title and description, you can upload a logo and the icon that will be shown in the browser’s tabs.

You will also find the option to customize the footer credits (bottom) of your blog. However, to make advertising disappear from that area, you must choose a payment plan 🙁

The Colors and Backgrounds option allows you to select custom colors for your blog. 

Although in the titles and links you can choose the ones you like the most, for the background I recommend that you do not complicate yourself and keep the white.

In Fonts you can choose the font for the titles and text.

In Header Image you have the option to upload the image that will be displayed at the top of your blog, or choose one of the options that WordPress offers you.

In Menus you can create menus by assigning them to your blog pages. For example, you can assign the Contact and About pages to the primary menu so that their links appear under the blog title.

You can also select where each menu will be displayed using the Menu locations option. In this case, I have selected it to be displayed under the header.

In Content Options you will find many customization possibilities for your posts, such as showing the date and author of each post, or if you prefer that they appear complete or only with the extract in the blog files.

The Widgets section will allow you to add additional functions to certain sections of your blog. 

These functions are quite limited in and are usually things like showing your favorite blogs, a search box, your author profile, Twitter feed, or category cloud.

Each theme has different sections where to include a widget . Simply select its location and choose the widget to display.

In Settings of the home page you can select whether you want a list with all your entries or only a specific page to be displayed on the main page of your blog.

In Theme options you will find some other option depending on the theme you are using, such as showing the reading time of your entries.

At AMP you can decide how you want your posts and pages to look when Google displays them using AMP (a system to speed up your speed) on mobile devices. In principle you don’t need to modify anything here.

Finally, at the bottom you can view your blog as it would be on a mobile phone or tablet.

4. Write your first post

Once you have everything configured, you can write your first entry by clicking “Write” in the upper right.

Then, the text editor will open where you can put the title of your entry and start writing the content.

If you want to add photos or videos, simply press the Add button  that you will find in the top bar. There you can also select bold, italics, the type of text (title or paragraph) and create lists among other common options.

Clicking on the three vertical dots will reveal more options, such as changing the color of the text.

In the right sidebar you will find the settings for this particular entry:

  • In Status, you can leave it scheduled for publication on a specific date.
  • In Categories and labels, you can assign one of the ones you have created before, or create a new label or category for this post.
  • In Featured Image you can assign a main image to your entry, which will be shown next to the title in the list of articles on your blog.
  • In Share you have the options to spread this entry on your social networks, and to allow readers to share it too.
  • In More options you can modify the slug of your post, which is the web address that will appear after the name of your blog. By default the post title will appear, so if it is too long you can shorten it (do not leave spaces or put other signs that are not hyphens).

You can also add an extract for your posts. The excerpt is the text that will be displayed under your title in search engines, so write one or two phrases that catch your eye and motivate you to read the entire post.

In this section you can also enable or disable comments for this entry.

5. Post your article

While you’re writing your post, you can save a draft at any time by pressing Save at the top.

When you’re done, click Preview to check everything is correct before finally posting your entry. And ready!
